T2 and T3 Tool Guide

T2 and T3 Tools will help you gather more advanced materials from your land.

T2 and T3 Tools, term refers to the tier or level of tools. There are 3 tiers of resources on your land, each one requiring more complex tools to gather them.

You have received simple set of tools from Alice to be able to harvest the T1 materials. See My Neighbor Alice New Player Guide.

T2 Tools

To be able to collect next level of nodes you will need the Robust version of each of the tools.

You can purchase T2 and T3 tools and use them, since there is no level requirement, but to obtain the blueprints and make them again and again when they break, see the NPC’s below who will give you quests leading to blueprints.

T2 Tools, Resources, Cost and NPC’s with blueprints

To be able to collect the higest level of resources, you will require Shiny version of each tool.

T3 Tools

The NPC’s below will give you quests for both T2 and T3 tools, just follow the questline to obtain them.

Once you have spoken to Jose, who as instructed you to visit each town hub, speaking to the each guide will open up quests to many NPC’s.

Following are the sets of quests that will allow you to level up your tools.

Monica – Hammers

Monica, in the town of Sleeping Giant in Rusty Pikes, on the Medieval Plains, is your gal who will provide you with quests leading to all the blueprints for your hammers.

T2 Robust Hammer Questline

Quest: Meet the M.M.M.

Requirement: Talk to Monica.

Reward: 50 EXP

Quest: Seeking Approval

Requirement: 10 Common Stone

Reward: Robust Hammer Blueprint and 700 EXP

Congratulations you have received the blueprint for Robust Hammer. You can now craft one at you anvil and collect Greenstone.

T3 Shiny Hammer Questline

Once you have completed the quests above you can continue the questline with Monica to obtain a blueprint for the T3 Shiny Hammer

Quest: Just Tomatoes, Nothing More

Requirement: Give 10 Heirloom Tomatos to Monica

Reward: Classic Lummel Hammer and 700 EXP

Quest: Beach Day: Stone

Requirement: Give 20 Gentle Raindrop Peppers to Monica

Reward: 700 EXP

Note: You can obtain Raindrop Peppers through gardening or purchasing them.

Quest: What to do with Stone

Requirement: Give 10 Greenstone to Monica

Reward: Stone Cutter ticket and 700 EXP

Note: A Stone Cutter is a another processing machine for your stones. The ticket that you have just obtained allows you to craft the Stone Cutter at your craft table. You will need 2 Wildweed Linen, 2 Island Silt Bricks and 8 bjorn. Crafting time will take 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Quest: One Day Deeper in Debt

Requirement: Give Monica 3 Samara Planks

Reward: Robust Hammer and 700 EXP

Quest: A Rocky Challenge

Requirement: Give Monica 10 Polished Sonte Bricks and 10 Greenstone Bricks.

Reward: Shiny Hammer Blueprint and 700 EXP

You are now able to craft T3 Shiny Hammer at your Anvil.

Note: The quest line continues with a quest of “Wardrobe Reward Stone”, which gives blueprints for some clothes.

Will – Pickaxes

Will is in the town of Cheese Amice, in Tourney Wolds, on the Medieval Plains. He is your go to guy for blueprints to upgrade your pickaxe. Because fine iron is hard to get and he asks for some iron bars along the way, together with the Raindrop Peppers, his quests for the T3 pickaxe can be considered the most demanding.

Quest: Meet the Ore Miner

Requirement: Speak to Will

Reward: 50 EXP

Quest: Test Number One

Requirement: Give 10 Gleaming Copper to Will

Reward: Robust Pickaxe Blueprint and 700 EXP

Congratulations! You can now craft the Robust Pickaxe on your anvil and mine Fine Iron.

T3 Shiny Pickaxe Questline

Quest: Carrots for Cake

Requirement: Give 10 Carrots to Will

Reward: Classic Lummel Pickaxe and 700 EXP

Quest: Beach Day: Ore

Requirement: Give 20 Raindrop Peppers to Will

Reward: 700 EXP

Quest: Chunks of Ore

Requirement: Give 10 Fine Iron to Will

Reward: Ore Smelter Ticket and 700 EXP

Note: Smelter can be used for all your ore processing needs. Using the ticket you can craft a Smelter at your crafting table. It will require 2 Polished Stone Bricks, 2 Island Silt Bricks and 8 bjorn to craft it. Time needed is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Quest: Secret Hobby

Requirement: Give Will 3 Blue Blossoms

Note: Blue Blossoms can be obtained from fishing for Gloomy Guppy and then placing them in the Fish Spa

Reward: Robust Pickaxe and 700 EXP

Quest: Prove Thy Worth

Requirement: Give Will 10 Copper Bars and 10 Iron Bars

Reward: Shiny Pickaxe Blueprint and 700 EXP

Congratulations! You can now craft a Shiny Pickaxe on your anvil and mine Reef Tin.

Hidi – Shovels

Hidi, the archeologist, hangs out in Sleeping Giant, Rusty Pikes on Medieval Plains. She will give you the upgrades to be able to craft T2 and T3 shovels.

T2 Robust Shovel Questline

Quest: Meet the Geologist

Requirement: Talk to Hidi

Reward: 50 EXP

Quest: Do you Dig it?

Requirement: Give 10 Island Silt to Hidi

Reward: Robust Shovel Blueprint and 700 EXP

Crafting Robust Shovel will allow you to gather Reef Sand.

T3 Shiny Shovel Questline

Quest: For the Love of Rocky

Requirement: Give 2 Noble Turnips to Hidi

Reward: Classic Lummel Shovel and 700 EXP

Quest: Beach Day: Sediment

Requirement: Give 20 Raindrop Peppers to Hidi

Reward: 700 EXP

Quest: All the Colors of the Reef Sand

Requirement: Give 10 Reef Sand to Hidi

Reward: Brick Burner Ticket and 700 EXP

Brick Burner allows you to refine all levels of sand into bricks. To construct a Brick Burner on you crafting table, you will need: Brick Burner Ticket, 2 Samara Planks, 2 Wildweave Linen, 8 bjorn and 1 hour 30 minutes.

Quest: Sharp Teeth Need Stimulating

Requirement: Give 3 Smashing Pumpkins to Hidi

Reward: Robust Shovel and 700 EXP

Quest: Sandy Understanding

Requirement: Give 10 Reef Sand Bricks and 10 Island Sand Bricks to Hidi

Reward: Shiny Shovel Blueprint and 700 EXP

Shiny Shovel Blueprint will allow you to craft a Shiny Shovel and collect Saltshale.

Calix – Sickles

Calix hangs out in the town of New Beginnings, Shaded Headland in Nature’s Rest. His speciality is T2 and T3 sickles to help harvest those plants.

T2 Robust Sickle Questline

Requirement: Talk to Calix

Reward: 50 EXP

Quest: The Sharper the Better

Requirement: Give Calix 10 Wildweave

Reward: Robust Sickle Blueprint and 700 EXP

Crafting Robust Sickle will allow you to harvest Milkweed

T3 Shiny Sickle Questline

Quest: Flower for a Friend – Part 1

Requirement: Talk to Calix

Reward: Potted Tulip and 700 EXP

Note: Once you accept the Potted Tulip, this quest requires you to travel to Lummestad and speak to Hae-Won who will receive the gift and you will complete the first part of this quest.

Quest: Flower for a Friend – Part 2

Requirement: Return back to Calix after talking to Hae-Won in Lummestad.

Reward Classic Lummel Sickle and 700 EXP

Quest: Beach Day: Fiber

Requirement: Give Calix 20 Raindrop Peppers

Reward: 700 EXP

Quest: Stock Issues

Requirement: Give Calix 10 Milkweed

Reward: Fiber Weavery Ticket and 700 EXP

Fiber Weavery will allow you to convert harvested plant fiber into cloth. To construct a Fiber Weavery on your crafting table, you will need: a Fiber Weavery Ticket, 2 Samara Planks, 2 Copper Bars, 8 bjorn and 1 hour 30 minutes.

Quest: Garlicky Business

Requirement: Give Calix 10 Garlic

Reward: Robust Sickle and 700 EXP

Quest: Stock Disaster

Requirement: Give Calix 10 Wildweave Linen and 10 Milkweed Silk

Reward: Shiny Sickle Blueprint and 700 EXP

Congratulations! You are now about to craft a T3 Shiny Sickle and harvest Dandeltuft

Derik – Axes

Standing in between treed in Two Tails, Pioneer Point, at Nature’s Rest, you will find Derik, who will share quests to help you get T2 and T3 axes.

T2 Robust Axe Questline

Quest: Meet the Lumberjack

Requirement: Talk to Derik

Reward: 50 EXP

Quest: A Classic

Requirement: Give Derik 10 Samara Wood

Reward: Robust Axe Blueprint and 700 EXP

When you craft the Robust Axe on your anvil, you will be able to harvest Lummel Birchwood Trees.

T3 Axe Questline

Quest: Trying a New Hobby

Requirement: Give 3 Appetizing Fish Bait

Hint: You can buy fish bait from Ivan in Lummestadt

Reward: Classic Lummel Axe and 700 EXP

Quest: Beach Day: Wood

Requirement: Give Derik 20 Gentle Raindrop Peppers.

Reward: 700 EXP

Quest: Make Bank with Planks

Requirement: Give Derik 10 Lummel Birchwood

Reward: Wood Sawmill Ticket and 700 EXP

Wood Sawmill will allow you to refine harvested wood into planks. To construct a Wood Sawmil on your craft table, you will need a Wood Sawmill Ticket, 2 Polish Stone Bricks, 2 Copper Bars, 8 bjorn and 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Quest: Bessi’s Claws

Requirement: Give 5 Gleaming Copper and 1 Island Silt Brick to Derik

Reward: Robust Axe and 700 EXP

Quest: I Came, I SAWED, I Delivered

Requirement: Deliver 10 Samara Planks and 10 Lummel Birch Planks to Yui in the Shaded Headland

Reward: 700 Exp

Derik will not talk to you until you have delivered the planks to YUI!

Quest: I Came, I SAWED, I Delivered II

Requirement: Once you collected the planks, talk to Yui

Reward: 700 EXP

Quest: I Cama, I SAWED, I Delivered III

Requirement: Talk to Derik

Reward: Shiny Axe Blueprint and 700 EXP

Congratulations! You can now craft a T3 Shiny Axe on your anvil and cut down Ek Wood Trees.

Bjorn – Fishing Rods

Unlike other tools that only have T2 and T3 levels, Fishing rods have a T4 version. This will allow you to catch some T4 level fish.

To upgrade your fishing rod you are looking for the following quests

T2 Fishing Rod

Quest: Bassy Business

Requirement: Regal Bass

Reward: Actually-a-Fishing-Rod and 700 EXP

T3 Fishing Rod

Quest: Time to Strike

Requirement: 1 River Asp and 1 Roundpuff Fish

Reward: Good Quality Fishing Rod and 700 EXP

T4 Fishing Rod

Quest: Moon Fish

Requirement: 1 Luna Fish

Reward: Pawtastic Catcher and 700 EXP

Hae-Won Gardening

Complete the following quests to upgrade your gardening tools

Quest: Botanical Excursion

Requirement: 2 Carrots, 2 Wheat, 2 Tomatoes, 2 Garlic

Reward: T2 Gardening Blueprints and 700 EXP

Quest: A Salad for Science

Requirement: 2 Edamame, 2 Peppers, 2 Shrooms, 2 Turnips

Reward: T3 Gardening Tools Blueprints and 700 EXP

Louis – Flutes

Louis can be found hanging out be the shore in Lummestad. He will provide you with blueprints to upgrade your flute.

Quest: Tunes of the Flute

Requirement: 5 Mosaic tiles

Mosaic tiles can be made by placing Regal Bass fish into the Fish Spa on your land

Reward: Classic Lummel Flute T1 and 700 EXP

Quest: Tunes of Regality

Requirement: 3 Red and 3 Blue Blossoms

Red Blossoms can be made by placing Floral Flounder Fish in the Fish Spa. Blue Blossoms come from Gloomy Guppy Fish.

Reward: Simple Flute T2 and 700 EXP

Quest: Tunes of Childhood

Requirement: Give Louis 1 Reef Tin, 2 Ek Wood and 1 White Blossom

White Blossom is acquired by placing Luna Tuna in the Fish Spa on your land.

Reward: Shiny Flute T3 and 700 EXP

With ability to craft T2 and T3 tools, you will now be able to gather all the resources that your land provides and use them to craft wonderful items.
